In the fast-evolving technology landscape, Adriana Rivas, COO of Bigwise Corp, stands out as a trailblazer dedicated to bridging the gap for mid-sized businesses. With a unique background in retail finance and a commitment to democratizing enterprise-grade intelligence, Rivas is reshaping how businesses leverage technology. Her insights on innovation, AI, and operational strategies promise to inspire leaders navigating the complexities of today’s market.

Tell us about yourself and your company.
I am Adriana Rivas, COO at BIGWISE Corp, a technology company founded in 1992 to serve the mid-market with capabilities that enterprise vendors ignored and basic tools could not deliver.

My background is quite unusual for an executive in the tech space. In my early career, I worked with retailers across Latin America focusing on accounting and finance. That experience gave me something most technology leaders never get: a ground-level understanding of how businesses actually operate, where the real friction lives, and what it costs when technology fails the people using it.

That perspective shaped everything I have built since. It drove the creation of Biwitech, our hardware line of self-service kiosks, POS systems, electronic shelf labels, and digital signage deployed across the United States and Latin America. And it is what led me, most recently, to drive the operational strategy and go-to-market development of SLIVE.AI, our AI-based business management platform launched in November 2025. SLIVE combines operations management, financial tracking, inventory monitoring, and team collaboration into one platform, with Astro SLIVE as its conversational AI layer that lets any business owner get real answers in seconds, without needing analysts or IT teams.

I am also the author of How to Implement Self-Service Without Failing, recognized by Amazon as a bestseller in 2025. Most recently, I received the only Gold Stevie Award in the Business Products category as Thought Leader of the Year at the 24th Annual American Business Awards 2026. Thinkers360 also recognizes me as a Top 10 Thought Leader in Retail and a Certified Retail Expert.

The mission driving all of it is simple: make enterprise-grade intelligence accessible to the businesses that need it most.
How did you approach product-market fit and early customer growth?
BIGWISE Corp was founded to solve a gap that most software companies were ignoring: mid-size businesses that were too complex for basic tools but too small to afford enterprise solutions. That underserved middle market became our foundation.

SLIVE.AI is a continuation of the story from above. Released in November 2025, this product stems from a similar trend seen consistently among our clients: they are swamped by fragmented systems, make decisions based on half-baked data, and spend more time managing their tools than running their core business. The solution to this problem is what SLIVE was built for: combining AI, a business social network, and an operational engine into one software solution.

We found product-market fit quickly, without any guesswork, by closely following the problem for many years as we worked with our retail and operator clients in the United States and Latin America. Our first clients were not test subjects; they were actual enterprises that knew exactly what they needed before our software existed.

Our growth came quickly from our results, not from marketing efforts. Once the operator realizes that with Astro SLIVE, he could get an answer to his business question in mere seconds when before he needed to compile three different reports then you will notice that conversation changes completely. Results spread faster than anything else.

“”Start with the problem, not the solution.””
