Company: Agoyu

We are thrilled to have you join us today, welcome to ValiantCEO Magazine’s exclusive interview! Let’s start off with a little introduction. Tell our readers a bit about yourself and your company.

Bill Mulholland : I’m Bill Mulholland, a relocation industry veteran with over 25 years of experience helping individuals and organizations navigate the complexities of moving. I’m the founder of Agoyu, an AI-driven platform that brings speed, accuracy, and transparency to the moving process by providing instant, precise estimates, allowing users to compare trusted movers and receive secure bids without the usual hassle or hidden fees. Prior to launching Agoyu, I built several successful businesses in the real estate and relocation industries, and I hold professional designations in global mobility and relocation strategy. I’m passionate about using technology to make moving less stressful and more efficient for everyone.

Can you share with us your journey towards integrating AI into your business operations?

Bill Mulholland : We started exploring AI in 2018 after seeing how outdated and inefficient the moving process had become. Estimates took too long, and there was too much uncertainty for both customers and movers. That’s why we built Agoyu, which uses AI to deliver instant, accurate moving quotes and bring real transparency to the industry. AI has helped us streamline everything and make moving easier for everyone involved.

What specific areas of your business have been most impacted by AI, and how?

Bill Mulholland : AI has had the biggest impact on our quoting process, lead management, and customer experience. Since integrating AI, we’ve increased conversion rates by 76% and reduced customer acquisition costs by 58%. Our platform now generates highly accurate quotes, within 3% of actual costs and eliminates the need for manual surveys or lengthy calls. It also acts as a CRM and booking engine, streamlining operations for moving companies and saving customers hours in planning. Simply put, AI has made the process faster, more transparent, and far less stressful for everyone involved.

How are you ensuring ethical considerations are taken into account in your use of AI?

Bill Mulholland : At Agoyu, ethical use of AI starts with transparency and data protection. We never sell or share user data, and customers maintain full control over their information throughout the process. Our AI is designed to eliminate bias by relying strictly on objective data such as inventory and distance to generate quotes, ensuring fair and consistent pricing.

We also prioritize accountability by giving users clear visibility into how estimates are calculated and ensuring all movers on the platform are properly vetted, insured, and compliant with industry regulations. For us, ethical AI means building trust at every step.

What advice would you give to other CEOs looking to integrate AI into their business?

Bill Mulholland : Don’t adopt AI just to be trendy; adopt it to solve real problems. At Agoyu, we integrated AI to streamline outdated processes, reduce customer friction, and help our partners run more efficient, profitable businesses. The key is to stay focused on meaningful impact. When you use AI thoughtfully, not just reactively, you unlock smarter, scalable solutions that truly serve your customers.

How do you see AI evolving in your industry over the next 5 years?

Bill Mulholland : AI will fundamentally reshape the moving and relocation industry over the next five years. What’s now a largely manual, fragmented process will become faster, more predictive, and far more transparent. I see AI taking on even more roles, from scheduling and automated claims processing to personalized move planning based on customer behavior and preferences.

For movers, AI will reduce operational costs and improve accuracy. For customers, it will remove the guesswork and frustration that’s been accepted as normal in this space. The companies that succeed will be the ones that use AI not just to cut costs but to elevate the entire customer experience.
